In 1994 I began manufacturing wood flooring for retail store chains such as Kenneth Cole, Abercrombie & Fitch, Eddie Bauer, Williams-Sonoma and many others for the use in their new stores and stores that were being re-modeled. When we shipped the flooring to the job sites we were asked many times what should be done about the moisture in the concrete because it was too wet and the flooring was going to be damaged. At the time I told the superintendents that we didn’t have a product that we felt comfortable in recommending because they were all surface coatings that covered up the problem and didn’t actually solve it. The general contractors building the stores had to deal with the issue.
In 2003 I met the person that had the formula for a product that seemed to make sense to me for preventing our floors to be damaged. It was a product that had been developed in the late 1970’s and applied for many industrial, military projects and very large commercial developments. I decided to try it on some of the wet concrete slabs that we encountered. After 16 applications with amazing results I secured the rights to the product worldwide and since then have had it applied to over 1200 wet concrete slabs prior to my flooring being installed.
WE HAVE NEVER HAD A FLOOR DAMAGED BY CONCRETE MOISTURE.
Since we secured the rights to the product it has been used to eliminate problems with not only wood flooring installations but also sheet vinyl, vct, carpeting but also under epoxies. Again, we’ve experienced no failures.
